  1.  The lights from the parlor and kitchen shone out 
  2.       Through the blinds and the windows and bars; 
  3.  And high overhead and all moving about, 
  4.       There were thousands of millions of stars. 
  5.  There neΓÇÖer were such thousands of leaves on a tree, 
  6.       Nor of people in church or the park, 
  7.  As the crowds of the stars that looked down upon me, 
  8.       And that glittered and winked in the dark. 
  9.   
  10.  The Dog, and the Plough, and the Hunter and all, 
  11.       And the star of the sailor, and Mars,
